It's Labor Day! Lots of sales going on to entice shoppers to spend money. But one Circuit City really dropped the ball.
Greg went shopping for a big screen television. He wasn't comparison shopping, and had already done his research on the product he wanted. He just had some questions. He ran into a sale associate who couldn't have cared less. Needless to say, he didn't make a purchase yesterday. And consequently Circuit City lost a big sale.
We have the opposite problem at our Circuit City. We're in the market for a new digital camera but were only comparison shopping. Our Circuit City had both we were looking at on sale and we thought it would be the perfect opportunity to fiddle with both. Our sales associate was so heavy handed. We told her that we were looking to compare and that since they didn't have one camera, we couldn't compare and weren't comfortable buying without it. She was ticked.
So much for service being state of the art'.
